The "why"s of this workshop


Your body is one of your greatest allies.

Even when it's sick.

Even when it's doing all sorts of uncomfortable things.


Let me ask you this:

What would be different if you understood those imbalances & discomforts, any of the body's messages, as "sign posts"?

Sign posts to do things differently, to pause, to feed yourself different foods, to surround yourself with different people....

In this workshop you'll begin to uncover this & much more.


Just as I began to when I started my journey of exploring the body's wisdom over 30 years ago.



I confess.

I am a HUGE fan of the physical body.


If you have worked with me, you know that I will inevitably ask “So, what is happening in your body as you say that/think that?”


To be honest, I was not always a fan of the body, or—to be more precise—of my body. As a girl & young adult my body was a battle ground and I was at war with it. My body was constantly getting sick, it wasn’t the right shape or size; my body was where I felt the grips of anxiety & the paralysing heaviness of depression. 


But then something shifted. As I began to practice yoga and meditation in my early 20s, as I studied Ayurveda and used holistic approaches to heal physical illness, my relationship with my body changed. All of these sciences presented the body in its rightful place: as one part of our human experience and as a source of information & wisdom. This knowing only intensified years later when I learned and trained in Somatic Experiencing & started working in trauma resolution.

In this Module 1 workshop we begin to approach our body as such— a source of Inner Knowing; as a keeper of our life’s story.


My fellow human, your body contains power, infinite intelligence & volition. When you learn to listen to your body & understand your own unique body language, your life will be transformed.


My wish is for you is that-- through this workshop-- you :

  • come to approach your body (and mind!) with compassion & respect
  • tune into & trust your own inner source of knowing
  • begin to integrate your body-knowing with your mind-knowing for FULL knowing.
